Happy Anniversary and congrats on one year of writing here! I also love Cheryl. She's a great writer and has done some LIVING! I'm waaaay behind again, and trying to get caught up on May before June ends. My life is ridiculous. I'll be writing about it soon (I hope) ! Love, Virg
Thank you so much to my favorite Virg!!! Cheryl has done some LIVING for sure! And I absolutely love her for it. Also⦠it sounds like YOU are doing some living, too. Happy Summer!!!!
There are several lessons here: bananas are more interesting than we may have thought, burnt banana bread has its own savory sexy purpose, and the saddest song must be "Yes We Have No Bananas". I suggest you write your own recipe book, maybe titled Erotic Food Recipes. It would sell.
Megan, as soon as I saw βbanana breadβ, I waited for the trite, Freudian references. Thatβs really low-hanging fruit (like lying-on-the-ground low) and youβre more clever than that so I knew youβd come up with something original & special. But what you came up with made me laugh out loud, in a doctorβs waiting room, no less! βDe-shaftedβ, indeed! The scratched-throat story was sheer joy (OK, at least for me). Unless you were being heart-attack serious, Iβve laughed or smiled at everything Iβve ever read that youβve written, but this has topped them all. Thanks.
My 7th grade English teacher loved Simon & Garfunkel, and used their songs as examples of great poetry. We pored over every song on their βSounds of Silenceβ album. Disturbed does the title track justice. Check out the album some time. The production is really dated, but itβs the lyrics that count.
Happy Summer, now that the weather has FINALLY broken.
Love every word of this, you deep throating wench. Crusty banana bread and your mouth, what a pair made in heaven with bells on your titties ringing.
Me? Iβve fallen in love with prunes. Srsly. I read a medical grade research paper that showed eating 12 a day is awesome for warding off osteoporosis. I do not have it or want it when my time comes. But get this, eating 6 a day is as good as half a dozen. Stuffing prunes into my ladylike gob as I write. π
Omg The Voice finale was soooooooo good!!! Ameliaβs absolute FAV came in second so she was devastated π₯Ήπ but I really loved who won! But GOODNESS itβs heartbreaking to choose between such incredibly talented souls!!!
also, The Body Keeps the Score is an amazing read.. I had to stop at one point and put the book away for a while because of all the feels and realizations I was getting, one after another, and it was too much. I might be ready to finish it now tho.. π€π«Ά
So glad you enjoyed the banana bread incident πππ
Sending you love and support for finishing the book! β₯οΈ I know exactly what you mean about taking a breakβ¦ I had to do that after chapter 14 I believeβ¦ it was a LOT of feels.
Your banana bread story reminds me of the time I tried to make cookies and completely forgot to set the timer. When I finally smelled something burning, my entire kitchen was filled with smoke, and the cookies were practically carbon. I was so frustrated, but then I realized that these kitchen disasters are often the best stories. Itβs like you said, βWere swears uttered? Obviously.β Yes, Megan, yes, they fucking were! You crack me up. I so appreciate you.
Oh yep. I do this, but with fries. And peanut butter.
πππ Omg peanut butterβ¦ that is a choking situation! ππ€£
Been there too many times π¬
FrΓes!! Me too.
It is terribly unfair to make banana bread eating such a sexually descriptive act...
π π π π I know right??? hahaha

π EXCELLENT lessons!!! That song hahaha. ALSOβ¦ omg you have absolutely tempted me with that erotic food recipes book ideaβ¦ I would slay. π
I really do think the title alone will attract people, even those who like to cook. Glad you liked my silliness.

You might find https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/669822/kingmaker-by-sonia-purnell/ interesting as a follow up to Lady Clementine. It's non-fiction but reads like a novel.
Leon
