My mind read ski gondola and I was like, wtf, I went all the way to Vienna and didn't get a single ski gondola pic?!?! Shame on me!!! Once the rest of my brain caught up, and read the rest of the comment, I calmed down. 😂
I was just goofing on my own mental tendency to switch the names of the two places. (You feel shame, I point at myself and laugh. I prefer my approach.)
FANTASTIC!!! I loved this, not just because I live in Vienna and I'm delighted you enjoyed it, I love how happy you are, and the romance, and this incredible opportunity you had to do the waltz on New Year's Eve. Wow! Sounds like you had a splendid time, the pictures are terrific.
I must admit that the first few times I came to Vienna in the 2010s I was more ambivalent about it, living here it's grown on me quickly. The architecture never fails to disappoint, there are always new things to discover, the museums are world class, and it's a great place for families, the infrastructure (boring!) and all that.
AHHH I'm so glad you enjoyed this little snippet through a visitor's eyes of the city you live in! 🤩 She's such an amazing city, and I would LOVE to visit again.
And it IS so interesting how perceptions can change over time lol. Glad Vienna has grown on you! 🫶
Hello Megan. This is your first article I've read in several weeks. Been busy, yeah, all of that other nonsense. But as a chronically single male, I simply want to congratulate you, and your guy. I'm really happy for you both. That's about all I wanted to say. Happy New Year to both!
Enjoyed this. My wife and I spent two weeks in Vienna in January 2020. Beautiful city. We attended two balls (white tie) three operas, and one operetta. And great food!
My god that actually made me teary it was so great, particularly the picture of you holding the sausage sammie. ❤️
🥹 thank you so much, that sausage sammie pics makes me so happy every time I see it too!!! 🫶🫶🫶
Where are the gondolas? You went all the way to Vienna and not a single picture of a canal or a gondola!
Oh, that’d be Venice. Never mind.

🥹🤗 thank you so much!!! ❤️❤️
Wow, you look great. Positively *radiant* in a few of the pics. And quite pensive, serious, and thoughtful in one of them. That one’s the best.
Glad you had a great time. Thanks for the insight and the pics.
